This fall, we have the chance to do something truly historic- take a shuttered public space and bring it back to life for a new generation of Portlanders.
The Studio at Laurelhurst Park opened September 26th with phase one renovations complete and limited programming. Founders Circle members are the community leaders and visionaries who will get us to the next phase, and help write the next chapter for The Studio at Laurelhurst Park.
Our goal: Raise $100,000 by November 1st, to complete renovations and launch full programming and operations that will bring this space back to life in a big way. Think: youth arts education, teen programs, parent support, intergenerational fitness, free recreation, community events, senior connection and much more, seven days a week.
Sellwood Community House has a proven track record of stewarding public assets that the City of Portland can no longer afford, transforming them into active, inclusive, intergenerational community spaces that let us reimagine what it means to live, work and play in Portland.
We have the know-how and initial start-up funds, now we need investment to get us to the next phase.
From Sellwood Community House, to The Shack at Sellwood Park, to The Studio at Laurelhurst Park, SCH is committed to supporting Portland’s families, seniors, youth and neighborhoods. When you join the Founders Circle, you make history. Our motto: Let Recreation Serve the City
