The Studio at Laurelhurst Park

We’re proud to partner with the City of Portland and Portland Parks & Recreation to bring Laurelhurst Studio back to life through a long-term public–private partnership—restoring this beloved space without new City capital investment, and returning it to community use, where it belongs. This is what it looks like when we invest in shared spaces, together.

Yoga for Beginners

Sundays | 9:00 - 10:00 AM | $25/class, or $100 for a 5-Class Card | laurelhurst studio

This beginner yoga class is taught in a workshop style format with an emphasis on proper alignment, demonstration, and education. Our primary focus is on deconstructing the poses and making them accessible. This allows a student to develop an honest foundation by understanding personal limitations and the need for specific modifications. Practice at the level of your current ability and avoid injury by doing so. Progression can be found by mastering the control, stability, and alignment of the simplest movements first.

"Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame."B.K.S. Iyengar

Restorative Yoga
