Our Last Day of Open Play at PlayLab will be June 6, 2026
Join us for a fun-filled morning of summer crafts, face painting, bubbles, and more, and thank you for a fun year!
Beginning in the Fall of 2026, our PlayLab Open Play is moving back to Sellwood Community House!
What will PlayLab at SCH look like?
The SCH studio will be filled with everyone's favorite imaginative play stations, with the addition of indoor tumbling play.
The SCH kitchen will host kids' cooking, messy art, science exploration and more.
The SCH lobby will host storytimes and music, plus new intergenerational activities connecting our seniors with our littles.
What will be happening at the PlayLab Annex?
Sellwood Community House has been awarded 20 Preschool for All spots, to provide free, all-day preschool for families in our community. Joining the Preschool for All program has been a longtime goal, and SCH is thrilled to be able to offer this crucial service to our community.

If you wouldn’t send your child to daycare, please DO NOT come to PlayLab.
This includes fever, diarrhea, vomitting in the last 24 hours or an uncontrollable cough.

Our play place can host a maximum of 30 kids (and their adults) Once we reach that maximum we will begin a waitlist, when a spot becomes available families will get a phone call or email that they can come play!

SCH cards can be used at Sellwood Community House, PlayLab, and the Shack in Sellwood Park. Add any amount, and enjoy discounted PlayLab admission when you pay with your SCH card

We ask for no shoes in the playspace and socks are optional, but the floor can be cold in the winter!

Open play is just $10 for the first child and $8 for any additional children.

Yes! The kitchen is usually available for arts and crafts.

Yes! We are not a drop off daycare.

We are best suited for children ages 0-5.

There is stroller parking right inside our doors and overflow is usually available up a few stairs to the right.

PlayLab is an annex of Sellwood Community House, located at 7810 SE 15th Ave — just four blocks north of SCH at SE 15th & Spokane.

You’ll find street parking on SE 15th and SE Lambert, plus a parking lot behind our space accessible from SE Lambert.

No, we only rent space from Immanuel Lutheran but they are great partners!
